How Most Homebuyers ACTUALLY Feel About Their Purchase
With all the negative coverage of the housing market and the many sellers facing and enduring foreclosure, you might think that all sorts of people out there would be wishing that they had never purchased their homes. When you add in all the people who are upside down – or believe that they are upside down – on their mortgages, you would probably expect the number to go up even further. In reality, however, that is not true. A study recently released by Bankrate, Inc. shows that 90% of Americans do not have “any regrets” about buying their current home .
Of the 9% who did say they regretted the purchase, not surprisingly the regrets tended to be related to an inability to pay their mortgage or an inability to sell, and only 8% were unaware of the terms of their mortgage – a dramatic change from 26% only 2 years ago.
In your real estate investing, have you changed the way you deal with sellers based on your own perceptions about how they may feel and what they may know about their mortgages?
